FCA issues Policy Statement finalising the Directory

PS19/7: The Directory

As part of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR), the FCA consulted on introducing the Directory – a new public register and user interface that would:

  • Make information public on additional individuals carrying out specific roles in UK financial services (certification functions and non-executive directors)
  • Present information on these individuals (and the Senior Managers) in a way that is more accessible and user friendly
  • Enable users to find information on these individuals

This Policy Statement summarises the feedback the FCA received to Consultation Paper 18/19 and their response. This PS also sets out the final rules on establishing the Directory as a result of SMCR. A copy of the Policy Statement can be downloaded from our SMCR Library.
